DJ ALAMO

GLENN A.COOPER A.K.A.DJ ALAMO, born in Brooklyn, New York, moved to South Jersey in the early 90’s where he gave birth to his disc jockey career. He always had a love for music, and entertaining people, also within him was an even deeper love for hip-hop and an interest in the art of turntablism. Becoming a DJ was a natural progression for him.
Starting his career with his father’s belt driven turntable, DJ Alamo followed his big brother in the early days of his high school career. He began his record collection by shopping at the local music stores on a bi-weekly basis. Learning the tricks of the trade as he went along and doing private parties, it was not until his freshman year of high school that his career as a DJ exploded.
It was not until Christmas of ’95 when his dad bought him first pair of turntables. From there he sharpened his disc jockey skills to the point where he was making mixtapes for local friends in school, in addition to DJing all of the school and recreational activities. Upon graduating high school in 99 DJ Alamo was already DJing major events and parties at Lincoln University, Rutgers (in New Brunswick, NJ), Fairleigh Dickinson, Cheyney University, West Chester University, The College of New Jersey, Seton Hall, and Rowan University. Also, on his list of venues is Hampton University’s homecoming along with local clubs in the area such as George’s, Citrus Metropolis, and Club Iguana.
The following year as his advancement in the industry was expanding more and more each day, DJ Alamo joined DJ forces with DJ Ace one of his teammates and cousin, who was DJing countless events in the southern New Jersey area. The combined talent of the two, plus the addition of greats that oversaw them like DJ Cee Chung, DJ Kam, DJ Jayski, and also the late DJ Swift.
Since then, DJ Alamo has been DJing all over the east coast, from as far south as Miami, Florida, all the way up north to Boston, Massachusetts. In his illustrious career DJ Alamo has spun at various colleges, universities and clubs along the east coast; including but not limited to 923, Palmers, Emerald City, Club 27, The Blue Horizon, The 5 Spot, Red Sky, Dreamz, Chrome, Bluezetes, V.I.P. DJ WES WILL

Wesley Williams a.k.a. DJ Weswill, a Bronx native, moved to central New Jersey in the mid 90’s where he gave birth to his disc jockey career. He always had a love for music, which he showed by playing the piano, drums, and bass guitar. Within him was an even deeper love for hip-hop and interest in the art of turntablism. Being a DJ was a natural progression for him.

Starting his career with his father’s belt driven turntable in the later days of his high school career DJ Weswill began his record collection by shopping at the local music stores on a bi-weekly basis. Learning the tricks of the trade as he went along and doing private parties it was not until he entered college that his career as a DJ exploded.

It was not until his freshman year at Rider University that DJ Weswill bought his first pair of turntables. From here he sharpened his disc jockey skills to the point where he was making mixtapes on a regular basis and Djing all of the campus activities. Upon graduating college, DJ Weswill was Djing major events and parties at Rider University , The College of New Jersey, Seton Hall, and Rowan University , along with local clubs in the area such as Club XL and Maxine’s.

The next year while his progression in the industry was expanding more and more each day, DJ Weswill joined DJ forces with DJ Nasty, one of his fraternity brothers, who was djing countless events in northern New Jersey. The combined talent of the two, plus the addition of DJ 3D, a child hood friend of DJ Weswill, and J-Bent another fraternity brother, S.W.A.T Team DJ’s was formed and the invasion of the Tri state area had begun.

Since then DJ Weswill has been djing all over the east coast, from as far south as Miami Florida, to as far north as Boston, Massachusetts. In his illustrious career DJ Weswill has spun at various colleges, universities and clubs along the east coast. Including but not limited to 923, Mambo, The Blue Horizon, The 5 Spot, Red Sky, Club 27, Transit, The Pennsylvania Convention Center, Polaris, Palmers and Blue Martini in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. BIG JAE

DJ Big Jae, one of the newest members of SWAT Team DJs is not just putting his new accomplishment in the trophy case. He is quickly climbing the ranks and leading an energized initiative in the mix tape industry. He jokingly calls himself the underdog of the team, yet he has earned the undivided backing of his team and a strong fan base with his unique style and passion for the art of mixing.

Big Jae or Mr. Hennessy is not at all a novice to the club scene or to the art of spinning, for his career dates back to 1999. From the start his inspiration comes from true hip hop fans, “there is no better feeling then seeing the crowd dance and react to the music as I’m burning down a party.” Currently you can catch Big Jae on the internet at WorldCastRadio.com every Monday night at 11pm. The Trenton native as all true 80’s babies grew up inspired by industry legends such as, DJ CLUE, DJ KAY SLAY, FUNKFLEX and JAZZY JEFF. Originally from the Wilbur Section, Gregory Williams Jr. purchased his first turntables while attending Hamilton West High School he then went on to further his knowledge of music and solidified his DJ skills at Mercer County Community College as a Communications student. During the early stages of his career, he collaborated as an on-air personality along side DJ Iron Mike and Dj Big Zar on the “Kings of Controversy” show at the WMCC Radio Station.

Outside of his love for music Big Jae takes great pride on his fulfilling family life. Big Jae recognizes that his work ethic stems from his education and upbringing and he recommends that anyone pursuing a career in music remain focus, “college is the best place to learn new things, try new things and where you can meet new people.”

DJ SMOKE

Arturo Quiroz a.k.a. DJ Smoke, was born in Santiago, D.R. (Dominican Republic) where he began his DJ career. He was first introduced to the DJ business by his uncle, who took Smoke along side with him to many parties. After being around his uncle for a year, learning the trade, at the age of 14 Smoke began to DJ all types of social events, birthday parties, cookouts, pool parties, carnival events, weddings, and so forth.

Later, he worked for Emanuel Sounds, a well known DJ company in the D.R. where he learned most of the business side of being a DJ. He quickly distinguished himself from the other DJs by the fact that he was able to rock both Spanish and English music genres. Everything from Merengue to Salsa and Hip-Hop to Reggae DJ Smoke was able to put on a great show in front of any type of crowd.

At the age of 17 he moved to his country’s capitol and took a break from his DJ career to try and pursue his dream of attending college. However, soon after he move to the United States. After living for a year in Newark, NJ he moved to Pennsylvania because of a better job opportunity. With this came extra money and at the age of 20 he started saving to invest in himself by buying DJ equipment. It was then he knew it was time for him to get back in the game he knew and loved.

Smoke started to at small bars in the area, and it didn’t take long before people started noticing his talent. Many “gigs” followed and he went from the smallest bars to the largest venue in town, one by one, rocking almost every local spot . As his name and reputation spread, he started to get gigs in other towns and cities. In 2007 he started working alongside Tony Lew founder of poppinparties.com, a media production and entertainment website, and 2 years later he was signed to Swat Team DJs, a DJ team embedded deep in the Hip-Hop underground of Philly and NJ.

DJ Smoke shared the stage with some major artists and well known DJs such as, Peedi Crack, Freeway & Young Chris from State Property / Roc-a-Fella, Gillie da Kid, Major Figgas , Cyssero , Day 26, DJ Diamond Kutzz (Power 99 & BET), and many more…

The rest is of the story is what makes DJ Smoke earn his 2nd nickname, The Dominican Kingpin. Now you can catch DJ Smoke spinning at some of your favorite clubs all around Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and New York. Ericka S. Pressley was born and raised in Trenton, NJ. Despite her inclination towards shyness at an early age, Ericka’s gravitation towards hip-hop culture and fashion could not be denied.

An opportunity came in the form of a photo shoot in 2005 for Mr. Bernard Moore of Newark NJ. Ericka attended an event as a spectator and supporter of Mr. Moore. She happened to meet him during the show’s intermission, casually mentioning that she wanted to pursue modeling for a designer. To her surprise, he extended to her an invitation to model his line of swimwear.

The shoot with Mr. Banks was a success, immediately following she was offered a spread with Mr. Red from the magazine IB concept. The Spread printed Oct.05. Since Then, Miss Pressley has shot with several photographers from New York, NY to Washington, DC. She has prints for local designers in Maryland, as well as numerous features in fashion shows. Most Recent Show was Baltimore Fashion Week in August, 2009.

Aside from being an aspiring commercial model, Ericka is also the CEO/President of Pretty Business Promotions and Casting. Pretty Business Promotions & Casting is a Hip Hop Based Marketing Agency dedicated to developing ideas and putting them in action to reach the clients business goals. “PBP” offers High Volume Online Promotion, Live Promotional Services to assist in the distribution of materials in lounges, parties and club settings. The company offers Exclusive PBP Models to Host events for particular clients, also act as an agency to provide a High quality Selection of Models fit for client’s specific needs.
