Jahyummy.com here with Kardan of Kardan Ent. Continue here for interview >>

Jahyummy.com:For those that dont know of you or your work let them know about Kardan Ent.?

Kardan:Well I grew up in Willingboro NJ, you could say I was kind of a band geek and that’s were I fell in love with music. I seriously started producing material at about the age of 20. I began to then reach out to local artist to create and develop real music. I consider myself a producer and not a beatmaker, because of my versatility. My catalogue consist of hip-hop, rnb, pop, and tracks that are really interesting and different. I’m willing to work with new up and comers, as well as established artist.

Jahyummy.com:How would you describe your style of music?

Kardan:It’s definitely a mix of a lot of styles of music. I like to listen to various genres of music. Being that music is a aspect of art, I use a lot of those influences mixed with my ideas. I also try to make a variety of sounds with my own personal touch, so I don’t just have one style, I try to do it all.

Jahyummy.com:What type of equipment have you used and what do you currently use?

Kardan:Right now I’m working with Fruity Loops as my main production because of its mobility. It was one of the first programs I was introduced to. Through the years I’ve used Logic, Reason, Cubase, Nuendo, of course the MPC 2000. I’ve also used Mac G-series, PC Windows, various keyboards, and I make and tweak a lot of my drums. To me it really doesn’t matter what you make music on, it’s about the final product that you put out.

Jahyummy.com:What type of artist do you work with?

Kardan: I work with artist who have an open mind about music. With me, creativity is everything. I put a lot of creativity, energy and emotion into a track. I believe you have to think outside the box. Music has no set rules, therefore as long as you put together the best work you can create, it will be a masterpiece in somebodies eyes. As a producer, I just want to make good music for everyone to listen to.

Jahyummy.com:What producers have influenced you, and who would you say some of the top producers in the game are?

Kardan:I’ve been influenced by a lot of hot producers. I can really say that Timbaland is my all time favorite. He has mastered every aspect of being a producer as well as an artist(I have no intentions of becoming an artist though). Rodney Jerkins, 9th Wonder, J Dilla, Kanye West, Polow Tha Don, The Neptunes, Swizz Beatz,Justice League, The Runners, No ID, and Heatmakerz are a some more producers that inspire me. I could go on but you get the idea. The one thing I think that sets great producers apart from your everyday producer, is someone that has the willingness to step outside the box and create unique work of art that you can call your own.

Jahyummy.com:How can artist and managers get in contact with you?

Kardan:My email is kardanmusic@gmail.com or you can search me on Facebook with that email address. My website is coming soon so stay on the lookout for it.

Shoutout to Jahyummy.com,the whole Piff Fam.,TR Productions,Undaworld Ent., and everybody else I work with you know who you are. I’m out peace.

Writer, Producer, DJ. Born in the seventies, in Trenton, NJ. Known as Divine Drummah or DJ Mone and as a member of the hip hop group Truth or Square. With a natural ear for music and many years experience Jermone Williams has a talent that cannot be denied.
Williams was destined to be a musician. At an early age he played the drums and keyboard by ear. His love of music came first from his father who played lead and base guitar. Williams was influenced by greats such as George Clinton and Parliament Funkadelic, James Brown and Bootsie Collins and hip hop artist such as Tribe Called Quest, Pete Rock and DJ Premier. Making beats became his mission since his years of being a DJ expanded his skills. In the early 90’s Williams and crew started a movement in their home town when they introduced themselves as Truth Or Square. With sounds that empowered positive attitude and uplifted the community, they performed at many local venues which led to a potential signing deal. At the time the group was mislead and the signing opportunity fell through.
Later, Truth or Square left their home town and moved to Hampton, Va. There Williams set up a great base of contacts through performances and studio sessions with producers and groups such as born naturals,cru-thik Allen Iverson’s camp. For a while things look good and Mr. Williams thought he was on his way musically. As time passed in Virginia though, the group grew slowly apart and agendas changed for certain members.
While Mr. Williams never lost his love, focus and drive for music he began to see that he must strive for success on his own. Never denying that he has been within reach of success several times, his attempts to keep his sound going have been relentless. Williams moved back to Trenton and there he continues to build the library of Divine Drummah.
His latest projects include ASAP, Guddah Muzick, The Dre Skuffs Project, Nas: Sooner Than Later, Ghostface and Raekwon the Chef: Hidden Stones, which are compilations of the artists’ recordings to Divine Drummah beats.

Lookout for Divine Drummah’s, “NJ Transit” Coming Soon !!!
